Our First Queen, and first Pixiebob.
Shenona was the founder of our Cattery, and the start of our passion for the breed.
I was contacted about a fantastic show quality female kitten, so I immediately reserved her. I phoned my husband to tell him the great news. When I received the first photos, I thought Shenona was just perfect. I knew she was something very special the day I laid eyes on her, and bringing her home. I could not wait to take her to her first TICA show. We gave her plenty of time to settle in and bond before deciding to enter Shenona in a show.
I was a neurotic mother, and took her to the vets and the pet parlour to make sure she was perfect in every way. I am not so sure Shenona felt it was necessary, but it settled my mind anyway. I need not have worried myself, she impressed all the judges.. We walked away very proud that day, titled and with a handful of rosettes.
I knew that I did want to have kittens from Shenona, so that I could take more wonderful Pixiebobs to the shows, and give others the same opportunity and experiences with kittens from her. Shenona is simply amazing, an ideal bobcat tail, lynx tipped ears, Perfect Head, Ear and Eye Conformation. Gorgeous coat colour and markings. I could go on, but basically good all round features, and a wonderful personality.
I still do not believe my fortune, when I was given the opportunity to own Shenona. I am eternally grateful to Gertrud from AnsonRoad for two reasons. Firstly her passion for the breed, and will to improve it. Secondly, for making that phone call.
